Newman & Guardia | Patent Changing Box | Other | Quarter Plate

PATENT CHANGING BOX. 1895. A magazine carrying 12 plates which could be exposed individually and lifted one by one, by a lever on the back of the box, into the leather bag; here they could be manipulated to the back of the pack , bringing a new unexposed plate into the taking position. An ingenious mechanism operated a counter, so that exposed plates could be checked off as they were taken. A kind gift from a good friend on the internet.
