ENGLISH FIELD CAMERA. 1905. A very small, fragile camera, so not many left in today's world. I viewed it at an auction and left a commission bid. My bid was successful, but between my viewing day and the hammer falling, it had been well and truly 'viewed' by the public, most of whom seemed to have used a blunt instrument to open it. It's better now it has had some tender loving care. Just one of the perils of absentee bidding at auctions.
